They have students in learning the trade but you wouldn’t tell , they’re all fantastic and knowledgeable! The service straight away was charming and fantastic. They couldn’t do enough for us, they have been funny and quick! Food was amazing, had buffalo wings and the lasagna, everything was homemade and fresh, delicious and hot! Shout out to Trish, Nat and Amy! They were amazing!  And bingo fun to top it off! Worth the visit and will definitely be returning! Many times! All good things.

Supporting Learners with SEND

Landmarks is a Specialist College for young people aged 16 – 25 with learning difficulties and disabilities. Everything we do is built around giving our learners real opportunities to grow, become more independent, and prepare for their future with confidence.

The Archer isn’t just a pub, it’s a place where our learners can safely develop real, work-ready skills and industry-recognised qualifications in a genuine hospitality setting. Trained and supported by our fully qualified staff, learners take part in meaningful, hands-on tasks that build confidence, communication, and independence.

Many of the ingredients used in our kitchen are supplied by our working farm at Apperknowle, where learners are involved in animal care, livestock management, and seasonal farm activities. From caring for sheep, cattle, pigs, horses, and poultry to understanding food production and supply, learners see first-hand how ingredients move from farm to fork.

Our learners are here Monday to Friday, 9:30am – 3:30pm, gaining experience that truly makes a difference to their futures. The Archer gives them a place to shine, feel valued, and take their next steps towards the world of work in a supportive, understanding environment.
